Events

There are a number of public events during the Institute that parents, family members, friends and the public can attend. The events are listed, below.

The Daily Schedule for campers will be posted to the website on July 1. Field trips have become an important part of the experience of Junior Composers and this will continue in 2010. During the Institute, it has become a tradition to have an Ice Cream Social off-campus and to attend a music performance at Orchestra Hall. The Institute field trip is included in the price of camp although students will want to bring $10-20 for food and shopping.

The Institute ends on Saturday, July 24, 2010 with two Festival Salons, one at 9am and the other at 1pm in Ultan Recital Hall in the School of Music (Ferguson hall). Students are expected to stay for both Salons as they will be scheduled to receive a premiere or participate in a performance at both salons. A meal will be available for guests in Middlebrook Hall across the street beginning at 11.30 for less than $10 per person. You can reserve lunch here (link to be added soon).
