Junior Composers is celebrating its tenth year in 2011 with some remarkable opportunities for young composers.

The featured opportunity for all of our programs is called New Symphonies and challenges young composers to re-invent and re-imagine the orchestra of the 21st century. Our summer programs include the two-week Studio (July 11-23, 2011) and the one-week Institute (July 17-23, 2011).

New this year, the Workshop is a monthly 3-hour sessions from September 2010 through June 2011 that provides music theory instruction, orchestration workshops, new music performance, and composition tutorials.
