Sarah Miller

Sarah Miller (Composers Institute Faculty) teaches composition, theory and piano at the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis. Many of her compositions students have been top prize-winners in the annual MMTA and MMEA state student coposition contests. An active accompanist and solo performer, she holds PhD, MM, BM and BA from Michigan State University. Her teachers include Ralph Votapek, Albertine Votapek and John Perry. As a composer, she has received numerous commissions, including "Fanfare and Dances in Mixed-Up Lydian" for the 2001 Suzuki National Convention, "Kinda Blue-Gree" for the Stillwater Area High School Orchestra and "Question Marx" for two pianos.
